MONTHLY MEETINGS
Local Digs
Our meetings are on the first Thursday of the month, in the evenings, members only.We do our best to organise a local dig once a month usually on a Sunday.Note: we do not have a meeting or dig in January.

Derby Artefacts Recovery Metal Detecting Club (DARC)
We are one of the longest running metal detecting clubs in the country, established in 1974 and based in Derby.
A local club with monthly meetings on first Thursday evening of the month, except for January. We do our best to organise a local dig once a month, usually on a Sunday, except for January.
Our membership is limited to 80 members.
To ensure they are properly insured all members are required to be members of NCMD (or equivalent). New members can join at our February meeting. We are often oversubscribed, to go on the waiting list to be invited to join please use the contact form below.
Members are encouraged to bring recent finds along to the meetings for identification and discussion. We have a finds table and run a find of the month plus find of the year competition, with photographs of artefacts and coins submitted to The Searcher and Treasure Hunter magazines for publication.
From time to time the local Finds Liaison Officer (FLO) attends meetings to collect and return finds for inclusion in the Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS).
LANDOWNERS
Are you a landowner?
Your land could be hiding all sorts of interesting things. An ancient fort or medieval mint. Then again it could contain a forgotten hoard or Roman villa.
We would love to detect on your land and we pay to do so. We follow the NCMD metal detecting code.

If your land proves to be interesting or there are different areas to search, or different fields
available at different times, then we may like to visit multiple times paying cash for each visit. Please

LOST SOMETHING?
Our membership may be able to help if you...Have you lost a Gold or Silver Ring?If you have lost a ring or other jewellery item while gardening we may be able to help you find it.
